KYBELLA® is a prescription medicine used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called “double chin.” Kybella is a non-surgical injectable that contains a naturally occurring molecule which burns away at fat. When injected properly, all other cells are left healthy and intact.
What does it do?
Kybella eliminates the fat beneath your chin leaving behind a much more defined and structured profile. Once destroyed, cells cannot store or accumulate fat which means once you achieve your desired result it is permanent. Kybella is a non-invasive procedure that usually takes 30 minutes or less per treatment.
What to expect after your Kybella Treatment
Results are gradual and natural appearing. Immediately following the treatment you may experience a slight burning sensation and localized swelling. The swelling depends on the patient and usually continues for a few days, with most patients reporting noticeable swelling gone after the first 4-5 days. The process continues to work and destroy fat over the next few months.
Treatments and pricing
Treatment cost varies based on the patient and desired result. Most patients require treatment for a series of 3 to 6 treatments. Treatments are usually spaced 6 weeks apart.
