We utilize an FDA approved laser for our spider vein therapy and you’ll start seeing results after your very first treatment.
What Are Spider Veins?
Spider veins are the visible surface manifestations of an underlying condition known as venous insufficiency and may be isolated or associated with ‘feeder’ veins. They are the result of broken capillaries that are connected to the body’s vein system. Spider veins can be identified by clusters of red or purple veins commonly found on the thighs, behind the knees, and on the calves, ankles, and face. They may show up at any time starting from your teenage years or later on in life.
Spider veins are often confused with varicose veins, although these two conditions are very different. Spider veins are usually the sign of a problem in the shallow venous system. They are small, easy to treat, and don’t offer much of a threat to your personal health. Vericose veins are much more dangerous and can lead to circulatory problems.
What Causes Spider Veins?
Spider veins are caused by a variety of factors including aging, heredity, sun damage, certain diseases, pregnancy, and prolonged sitting or standing. Fortunately, spider veins are harmless but many people seek spider vein removal treatments for cosmetic purposes. Laser is the treatment of choice for spider veins on any part of the body.
What Can I Expect?
Using an FDA approved vein treatment laser, a vein removal treatment can be performed in one of our private treatment rooms in less than one hour. Vein treatment procedures do not require any kind of general anesthesia and patients can immediately resume their normal activity after the treatment. Clients may feel a warm, stinging or pricking sensation from the laser treatment. We apply a cooling gel before treatment and soothing products for post-treatment.
Depending on the size and frequency of visible veins, one treatment may be all that’s required. If more treatments will need to be performed, we’ll let you know during your free consultation.
